These are some MORE of my favorite things
Hey friends! I loved all my clients and sessions this year, these five are my ABSOLUTE favorites from 2015!!!
5. Every year I like to do one or two community/give back projects. In the spring one of the schools was having a father/daughter; mother/son type dance. I volunteered my services, and the night was great! This photo is SUCH a great representation of family life at times. It can be crazy. Some days you just have to smile, laugh, and roll with the punches.
4. E’s mom asked me to do her Holy Communion photos. The only thing was I couldn’t photograph in the church. They had their own photographer they wanted people to use during the ceremony. Time to think outside the box! We got some shots in the basement chapel, and outside the church. This shot was taken after the session. I saw little E on the swing celebrating the end of her photo session! Not wanting to miss an opportunity I ran over. The results? My favorite shot of the session.
3. Angus made his photo debut before Christmas. This dog is such a nut but I love him! He reminds me a little bit of myself. A little wacky, out there, fun loving, and full of energy. I think that is why he likes me so much! We got A LOT of funny, and hilarious shots this session. He looks so regal here protecting his littles. Angus wrote a letter to his humans as well. 2. Over the last several years, I’ve made my kids’ Halloween costumes. I just got fed up that I couldn’t find what I wanted, and the quality was less than stellar. Usually I will sew them. This year I channeled my inner Project Runway and went for the “unconventional challenge” Little O. debuted as a cloud. She served up her eternal diva-ness in the session, and blew me away.
AND FINALLY.... MY FAVORITE IMAGE OF 2015...insert drum roll please!
1 J.P. Carillo, bass player of Joy on Fire. Click this link to hear their sound. This shot was from a band session we did back in June. It was shot at Division Street Guitars in Peekskill, NY. This was my first formal band shoot. Anna, Chris, and John are exceptional musicians. When they play, they put their whole hearts into and leave it beating on the stage. I love this image because it captures the soul of an artist doing what he loves.
